My little Masters always
wanted to do 'big Person jobs'. Kannan’s favourite place is kitchen..Whenever he enters
the kitchen he will do something mischievous..playing in the tap water (this is
their favourite game),or switching off the gas stove, pouring the water in the jug all over the kitchen, playing
with kitchen utensils. Sometimes while
searching in the kitchen ,Kannan gets the casserole where breakfast foods are
kept. He will take the casserole to hall, sits there and calls Unni ”Unni vaa
appam thinnam “..Then the two will eat idli or dosa from the casserole.

Whenever
grandpa takes gardening tools both of them cries for getting the tools, when I take
the broom Kannan takes It from me and starts sweeping, If they see a spider net
anywhere they will run to the store room for broom, both of them likes putting
clothes in washing machine (sometimes when I open washing machine I can see their
building blocks and toys in it).

Unni now have a special habit…he always want to put shoe while going outside,Kannan never minds that. And before entering the house Unni removes the shoe slowly and keep the two shoes neatly at some place. It’s cute to watch him doing these things…
We recently started playing kitchen with coconut shell aka ‘chiratta’ J (our childhood game)…Kannan loved this game ..Now at evening play hours myself and grandpa's stomach is fully loaded with Kannan Unni’s cooked items…every five minutes Kannan gives me tea …Unni gives ‘payasam ‘…and we have to act like we are eating it and should say that it tasted good. Otherwise they will cry.
On Saturday we bought a small ball and basket for them. I thought they will independently play with it, …throwing the ball into basket. I showed them how to put the ball into the basket. Both of them tried and tried, began to get angry when they failed. Finally this idea of “basket ball game” put me in trouble as I had to run behind their ball with the basket in my hand, to catch it in the basket.
We bought a play gun also for them...but its life was just 10 minutes :)
One day My mom said she is going for a marriage .Kannan overheard this and later at afternoon he said to me “ammaaa kannanu kalyanam kazhikanam “ J…what he meant was he wanted to eat “marriage sadya”.For them kalyanam means eating something special.Another day we bought biriyani for lunch,Kannan was seeing ‘biriyani’ for the first time …so he said “Amma kalyanam kazhikunnu“ J

Stunt masters in action |
Now I remember one old comedy. The first animal name they learned was ‘aana’ as they had the chance to see elephant many times during festivals. Next animal is monkey. They had a favorite monkey dance in cbeebies channel. From there they learned saying ‘Monkey’. Last December when we went to Coimbatore .we visited a temple..Temple was fully sculptured with scenes from Ramayana…we entered the temple..Everyone was praying in silence…Suddenly Kannan said pointing at a Hanuman’s sculpture "ammaa de monkey…"(Amma see the Monkey) .I said "shhh" and suddenly brought him outside the temple….
Kannan Unni Hits will be continued ....
